Northrop X-4 Bantam Aircraft Manuals and Data Collection
The Northrop X-4 Bantam was a semi-tailless, twin-jet research aircraft built by Northrop Aircraft, Inc. Two airframes (USAF serials 46-676 and 46-677) flew between 1948 and 1953 in a joint USAF and NACA program that examined whether removing the horizontal tail avoided shock-induced stability problems near Mach 0.9. This digital collection brings together period airframe and engine documentation for the X-4 and the Westinghouse J30 engine family, together with a clearly separated modern research report.
Living Collection with Free Lifetime Updates: This collection continues to grow. As further X-4, J30 or related documentation is verified and added, purchasers receive the additions at no extra cost.

Scope note: The two engine handbooks cover the J30-P-20 and J30-WE-20 variants of the Westinghouse J30 family. The X-4 airframes flew XJ30-WE-7/-9 engines; these handbooks are included as J30 family documentation and are not stated to be specific to the X-4's own engine configuration.
Sicuro Publishing research report
Clearly separated from the period documents: Northrop X-4 Bantam — Consolidated Technical Report, an editorial research compilation that carries a confidence legend distinguishing verified, secondary and open material. It presents a program chronology, specifications, aerodynamic findings drawn from NACA Research Memoranda confirmed on NTRS (A50A04, A50D27, A50I01, A51H09, L53G06, H54G16, H54K03), a pilot roster and airframe dispositions, and a discrepancy register of unsupported claims found in other modern summaries. The report is not counted as a period manual.
