What This Collection Is
This is the primary factory engineering archive of the Ambrosini S.7 and Super S.7 — the definitive Italian wooden racing and training aircraft of the early 1950s. It comprises 149+ original factory drawings, certification documents, and structural test records produced by Ing. A. Ambrosini & C., Società Aeronautica Italiana, between approximately 1948 and 1952.
This is not a reproduction. These are archival static-copy scans of the original Ufficio Tecnico (Technical Office) documents, many bearing Copia provvisoria (provisional copy) stamps, official SAI title blocks, and the signatures of the Ambrosini design team — including documents signed personally by B. Ambrosini.
The R.A.I. Certification Dossier — Registration No. 22.552/t
The most historically significant component of this collection is the complete Italian airworthiness certification dossier submitted to and approved by the Registro Aeronautico Italiano in February–March 1952. This includes:

Aircraft Profile
The Ambrosini S.7 was designed by Ing. Sergio Stefanutti at Società Aeronautica Italiana, Passignano sul Trasimeno, as a high-performance wooden monoplane for Italian aerobatic and racing competition. The Super S.7 was the upgraded variant, featuring a more powerful engine installation and refined aerodynamics. Both variants competed in Italian national championships in the early 1950s. The aircraft's all-wooden construction — spruce spars, plywood skin, fabric-covered control surfaces — represents the pinnacle of Italian wooden aircraft engineering of the period.

All documents are archival static-copy scans of original Ufficio Tecnico factory drawings. Many bear Copia provvisoria stamps, official SAI title blocks, drawing numbers, dates, and designer signatures.
