A focused historical engine-manual collection containing four Lorraine-Dietrich manuals covering the 12Db and 12Eb liquid-cooled 12-cylinder aircraft engines, including the 400 hp V-12 and 450 hp W-12 “broad arrow” configurations.

Historical note

Introduced in the early 1920s, the Lorraine-Dietrich series evolved from early First World War-era Lorraine V-8 and V-12 engines. Produced from approximately 1920 to 1932, these engines powered aircraft including the Potez XXV, Breguet XIX, Levasseur PL.4, PWS-10 and Amiot 122, as well as civilian types such as the Fokker F.VII, Dornier Wal and Bernard-Hubert transports. The series is also associated with the 1927 transatlantic attempt of L’Oiseau Blanc and with early post-war mail and record-flight operations.
