Historical Background

Designed by Junkers Flugzeug- und Motorenwerke AG and evolved from the Junkers L10 project, the Jumo 210 was Germany's first production gasoline V-12 aero engine. Its key variants:

  • Jumo 210 A/B/C/D — Carburetor-equipped early production variants
  • Jumo 210 G — Landmark variant introducing direct fuel injection and a two-speed supercharger — the world's first production engine with this technology

The Jumo 210 saw its combat debut in the Spanish Civil War with the Condor Legion, before being superseded by larger, more powerful engines as the war progressed.
