Curtiss HS-1L Flying Boat

The Curtiss HS-1L was the standard single-engine coastal patrol flying boat of the U.S. Navy during World War I — the foundational mass-produced model of the Curtiss "H-Small" series. Governed by the U.S. Navy Department Bureau of Construction and Repair 1918 Handbook, this collection preserves the primary-source engineering and operational documentation that defined the type.
