AMX International AMX – Aircraft Manuals Collection
This collection is dedicated to the AMX aircraft — known in Italian service as the Ghibli and in Brazilian service as the A-1 — developed by AMX International, a consortium formed by Aeritalia (later Alenia Aeronautica, now Leonardo), Aermacchi (now Leonardo), and Embraer. The manuals included may have been published by one of the consortium partners or by AMX International, but all relate to the AMX aircraft program.

Historical Significance & Fleet Status
The Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare) officially retired its entire AMX fleet in April 2024, closing a chapter that began in the late 1980s. The Brazilian Air Force (Força Aérea Brasileira) remains the sole active operator of the type, with approximately 8–10 modernized A-1A/B aircraft based primarily at Santa Maria Air Base (ALA 4) in Rio Grande do Sul. The Brazilian fleet is in its final lifecycle phase, scheduled for full replacement by the Saab F-39 Gripen. Brazilian A-1M Modernization Program
