Nord NC-701 Martinet — S.N.C.A.C. Aircraft Technical Descriptive Manual

The Nord NC-701 Martinet is a French post-WWII twin-engine light transport, aerial photogrammetry, and advanced trainer aircraft developed by SNCAC (Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Centre). A direct engineering evolution of the German Siebel Si 204D, the Martinet was adopted across multiple French military and civil roles and exported to allied operators including LOT Polish Airlines and the Swedish government.

This archival edition reproduces the original factory documentation compiled under reference S.N.C.A.C. Notice Technique No. 701.01 — Notice Descriptive, covering the Type de Base No. 701 and its operational variants (Types II through V: Marine, D.T.A., État-Major, École de Navigation, and Mission Photographique).


1. Airframe & Aerodynamic Configuration

  • Supercharger: Single-stage mechanically driven centrifugal supercharger with elastic drive coupling — rated to critical altitude of 2,400 m
  • Propeller: Variable-pitch three-bladed propellers (upgrade over original German two-bladed design)
