Historical Background
Introduced in 1939 and produced through 1944, the Jumo 207 was manufactured in small series of fewer than 200 units by Junkers Flugzeug- und Motorenwerke AG. Its primary military applications included the Ju 86P/R high-altitude reconnaissance bombers and the massive Blohm & Voss BV 222 Wiking six-engine maritime patrol flying boat. No civilian applications were ever pursued.
