Goodyear Aerospace – Aircraft & Airship Production History

The Goodyear Aerospace Corporation, a division of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, was one of America’s most distinctive aviation manufacturers — best known for its iconic blimps and airships, but also responsible for producing thousands of Corsair fighters during World War II and pioneering experimental aircraft such as the remarkable Inflatoplane. Based in Akron, Ohio, Goodyear Aerospace operated from the 1910s through to its acquisition by Loral Corporation in 1987. This article provides a structured reference to the full Goodyear Aerospace aircraft and airship lineage.
